Valentine themed mini sessions will be on February 9th and 10th.    If you are overdue for a six month, 9 month or one year session you can upgrade to a full portrait session and have one of the setups as your valentine theme.    Can't make it that weekend and you really want the valentine theme, just send me an email with your preference in the month of February and we can do one of the baby milestone setups with the cupid theme.   If you want a session send me an email with preferred day and two time slots to secure your spot.

I've been watching this little princess grow for the past year and I was very happy that this happened to be my last session for 2012.   She has always been an absolute angel at her sessions and always full of smiles.   I hope to continue watching her grow!

This is a great example of a baby milestone session.    I must admit I am not sure which is my absolute favorite picture from the Teddy Bear series.    Maybe it's because I have a soft spot for Teddy Bears, after all I still call my six year old son my Teddy Bear.  Which is your favorite?

How cute can be?   It was pretty hard to get this little guys attention as he was very focused on the ducks and anything he could knock over.   The only time I was able to get him to smile at me and look straight at the camera was when I put on his lion hat.   He thought it was the funniest thing ever!!!!   He must have been thinking what a crazy silly photographer, oh and by the way I AM NOT WEARING THAT.   He won, we did not get the lion hat on him, but I hope to be able to create some magic for mom in Photoshop.   Stay tuned for part II.

Six Month Baby Milestone Session

I get a lot of questions from parents on when is a good time to get follow up pictures for their newborns.   Baby milestone sessions can be at any stage during the first year but I typically recommend 3, 6, 9 and one year.  While every baby is different these are typically associated with different developmental milestones.   At a minimum I recommend the 6 month and one year session.   It is pretty incredible to see how much that newborn baby has changed in just six months.  While my style for newborn sessions is more posed I find that after this I prefer to let them be babies, toddlers and children.   

What can you expect from a six month baby?

• Lots of smiles
• Mimics your expressions
• Lots of expressions
• Reacts to sounds
• May be sitting (although a bit wobbly)
• Has discovered their hands and maybe even figured out how to get both of them in their mouth
• Has discovered their feet

Oh, my last favorite one is chubbiness.   Some babies have started solids at this point and aren't moving a lot yet so this is the time when most babies are the chubbiest.  This is why I often call this session the Cuteness Checkup.

Based on the Cuteness Checkup I would say that Macie is 100 percentile on the cuteness radar.
